Individuality and originality create trends.
As women we are expected to look and act a certain way. If we go across these boundaries we are considered 'asking for it' or 'begging for attention' or written off as having something wrong with us. In a world that is radically changing, what does being a woman mean?
How has our expression been repressed? How are we meant to be our unique individual selves through dress in a society that shoves indistinguishable 'influencers' and 'micro trends' down our throat?
The idea of unpacking the male gaze and how what we deem as acceptable vs not is the next step into the subversion of this repression. How can we reclaim our sexuality with this standard.
Where has the originality gone?
